Celebrating Thanksgiving at Abiding Presence

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Wednesday, November 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Abiding Presence
For over 30 years we have celebrated Thanksgiving Eve with our friends from Temple B’nai Shalom. This year, more than ever, the witness we share through our joint worship is much needed. Plan to attend this special service filled with music, prayers, scripture and reflection. Rabbi David Widzer will be preaching. A reception will follow the service in Bailey Hall.

Join the Thanksgiving Eve Choir
All musicians are welcome, even if you have never previously sung in the choir. Contact David Chavez, Music & Worship Minister, if  interested.

College-Age Reunion
Wednesday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m.
We’re welcoming home all of our college-age young adults! Following the Thanksgiving Eve service, our college-age reunion will take place in the back classrooms. We’ll have appetizers from Glory Days as we catch up and hang out.

Thanksgiving Baskets for ECHO Clients
As we do each year, Abiding Presence is partnering with ECHO to ensure families in our community have a Thanksgiving meal. We want each family to be able to put a special meal on the table that is culturally appropriate and meets their dietary needs. In order to do this, we provide grocery gift cards instead of food items. You can support this ministry by making a financial contribution toward the cost of the Thanksgiving gift cards. Give online at AbidingPresence.net/give and choose “ECHO Thanksgiving Basket” or give cash/check in the offering plate.

Abiding Presence Food Pantry
This month, our Abiding Presence Food Pantry distribution switches to the 1st & 3rd Saturday. Volunteers are needed! Sign up to help at tinyurl.com/APFoodHelp or contact Sharon Downs in the church office at sharon@abidingpresence.net.
