Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry is for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and their families. For children younger than age 3, check out our Babies & Toddlers Ministry. We welcome children at each age and stage of their growing up to learn about God’s love for them and feel like they matter in our church community. When we say, “All are Welcome” we mean all. Our Neurodiversity Ministry is one of the many ways we live into this welcome. Michaela, our Children & Family Minister, is always willing to talk with families about how their children can feel at home at Abiding Presence.

Walking with Jesus
January 11 through February 15 from 10:05-10:45 a.m.

Our New Years Resolution at Abiding Presence is to continue Walking with Jesus. Jesus’ early ministry reveals a lot about who he is and who we are called to be. From Jesus’ Baptism to the Beatitudes, we are going to walk and act more like Jesus this January and February.

We cannot wait to explore the Gospel of Matthew with you for six weeks in January and February. If you have not already, please fill out our Children & Family Ministry Annual Event Sign-Up here.

At Abiding Presence, our Sunday morning faith formation follows a workshop model. Kids get to pick an age-appropriate workshop to engage in for the six week session. Read more about our innovative approach to Sunday School in this article from The Living Lutheran magazine and scroll down the page to read our FAQs.

Registration is LIVE! We hope you’ll join us for all the fun. Here’s a look at the workshops we are offering this fall:

  • Culinary Chemistry (K-2nd Grade)

  • P.E. Games (K-2nd AND 3rd-5th Grade)

  • Messy Art: Glitter, glue & more! (1st-3rd AND 4th-5th Grade)
