Giving Thanks

CROP Walk
Sunday, November 5 at 1:45 p.m. at Burke Presbyterian Church (5690 Oak Leather Drive, Burke, VA)

We kick off this month of giving thanks by joining our interfaith neighbors in Burke to stomp out hunger - locally and globally. Join us as we walk for neighbors around the block and around the world. Register to be part of the Abiding Presence team or donate at tinyurl.com/burkewalk2023.

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Wednesday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Temple B’nai Shalom (7612 Old Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA)
For over 30 years we have celebrated Thanksgiving Eve with our friends from Temple B’nai Shalom. This year, more than ever, the witness we share through our joint worship is much needed. Plan to attend this special service filled with music, prayers, scripture and reflection. A reception will follow the service.

Join the Thanksgiving Eve Adult Choir or Kids Choir (Kindergarten - 6th Grade)

College-Age Reunion Wednesday, November 22 at 9:00 p.m.
We’re welcoming home all of our college-age young adults! Following the Thanksgiving Eve service we’ll catch up with friends while they’re in town for the holiday. Join us after the service for appetizers and fun. For more information, contact Pastor Kelsey, Associate Pastor.

Abiding Presence Food Pantry Thanksgiving Baskets for ECHO Clients
As we do each year, Abiding Presence is partnering with ECHO to ensure families in our community have a Thanksgiving meal. We want each family to be able to put a special meal on the table that is culturally appropriate and meets their dietary needs. In order to do this, we provide grocery gift cards instead of food items. You can support this ministry by making a financial contribution toward the cost of the Thanksgiving gift cards. Give online at AbidingPresence.net/give and choose “ECHO Thanksgiving Basket” or give cash/check in the offering plate.
