We’re partnering with Temple B’nai Shalom to co-host a Bowling League for adults 18+ starting January 11. The League will go 9 Weeks (with no bowling on 2/8) and cost is approximately $20 per week. Bowling Shoes are included if needed. All league bowlers will receive a League Bowler card which will allow 2 free practice games per week, discounts on more bowling, and discounts on food at Bowl America. We will have 3-person or 4-person teams, depending on sign ups, with normal 90% of 200 Handicap Rules. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Teams at the end of the season. Sign up on the form below.

We walk with each other in navigating the joys and challenges of supporting our loved ones (and, sometimes ourselves) with diagnoses that include ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other disabilities. We also support the church in continuing to be a welcoming community to neurodiverse families.

Join us for a fun game of Youth BINGO during the Congregation’s Annual Meeting. While the congregation makes decisions about the business of the church, Youth will be seated with Pastor Kelsey and listening for words and phrases that come up on their cards. When you get a BINGO you get to yell it out loud! They’ll learn about how the church operates and what it means to be a voting member of Abiding Presence. Our ride at Snowriders begins at 11:00a.m.
Schools out for FCPS and we are taking advantage for a fun day of snow tubing with Abiding Presence! We hope you’ll join us for a fun time in the snow for all ages.
6th-12th grade students can attend with Pastor Kelsey. All kids 5th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, all guests must meet the height requirement of 36” tall. If between 36″-42″, you MUST go tandem with a guardian each in your own tube. Guests over 42″ tall can tube in their own lane. Adults planning to ride will also need to purchase a ticket below
We are looking for drivers/chaperones for students in grades 6-12. If you’re available to drive and chaperone that day, please indicate that on the form below!
The cost for snow tubing is $36/person which includes your ride ticket, fire pits, s’mores, hotdogs and a full day of fun! Register by adding the item below to your cart for each participant, fill out the form, and check out. Registration will close January 19.

Abiding Presence is welcoming Santa for bagels and photos! Enjoy our FREE community event with a photographer on site taking photos of your family with Santa. Our professional photographer will have digital photos back in time for the holidays, within a couple weeks of the event. We’ll also have a bagel bar, coffee, crafts for kids and adults alike.

Through our new partnership with Community Lodgings, we are sponsoring Christmas gifts for 54 children. We will provide two gifts totaling about $40 per child. You will shop for a specific child after receiving their “wish list.” One gift will be wrapped for the child and the other will be given to the parent for them to put under their tree on Christmas morning.

Wish lists will be distributed the week of November 30. Janet will also be available to hand out lists and answer questions at the Advent Wreath Workshop.

Advent is a time of watching, waiting and preparing for Christ to come. The Advent wreath is one of the tools we use to mark time in our waiting. Join us during the education hour for an intergenerational Advent wreath making workshop. Wreath forms, decorations and candles, will be provided. Show up with your household to make an Advent wreath to take home and use.

For nearly 40 years, Abiding Presence and Temple B’nai Shalom have worshipped together on Thanksgiving Eve in an interfaith service filled with prayers, music and scripture. A reception follows the service. All are welcome!
